Very poorly run post office for East Hampton and surrounding towns in CT. My fiancée had ordered very expensive wedding invitations. Upon not receiving them when expected, we contacted the seller that had confirmed delivery date. When she called the postmaster he was not only rude but condescending towards her. While on the phone with the postmaster he apparently asked the driver that was at the office if she had dropped them off. The driver confirmed and admitted to dropping them at the wrong location. We then asked if there was an error on their behalf what can we do to be made whole. He then laughed and clearly stated "absolutely nothing, this is your problem". This was not the first poor experience with him. The second instance occurred when a driver had backed into our retaining wall causing roughly $1000 of damages to the wall. Mr postmaster came to our property without permission and called me later stating that he inspected the damages and the damages were caused by "groundwater". To my understanding groundwater would not have clear indications of a collision, cracked field stones and earth pushed in and up. Nor do I believe that Mr postmaster is any sort of a property damage appraiser. After a lengthy conversation and numerous insults and rude comments made I filed a complaint for property dame with the USPS. Funny enough this was over a year ago and have yet to hear a response. Maybe it got lost in the mail....
