I agree with Stoney Ridge Dr., except all silt delivery personnel need training. I live outside town with a mail box on the road. We also get neighbors mail constantly and neighbors get our mail. Yesterday, Oct. 12 my flag on my mailbox was up, indicating I had outgoing mail, it was out before 9:00 am. Our mail carrier did not come, all day. My outgoing mail is still in my mailbox. This is so annoying I can’t understand why it is so hard to deliver mail to the correct address, unless they just don’t care.

Unfortunately, things have not improved since James 1956 posted 6 mos ago. My daughter's Social Security card was delivered to wrong address there in Silt. It has been a stressful day just trying to find the mail which had CORRECT address on it. It was a transposed #, but stil when she drove to PO, altho clerk was polite she was told : "There's nothing I can do for you." What the ....are you being paid for???? She was referred to Annex in Rifle. I've been to your nice little town, but get your act together. Your are a SMALL PO. I work in a small in PO in SE Colorado.

I can't say enough good things about the ladies who work at this SILT, CO. Post office, friendly, helpful & knowable are a few words that come to mind. However, the postal person that delivers our mail to our community mailboxes needs more training. On an average of 3 times a week (I kid you not) we get someone else's mail in our box, which we always hand deliver ourselves to the home address; and we get neighbors on our street who have also delivered to us some of our mail which was in their box. Today I get notice that an important package I had been waiting on had been delivered, but when I used the key that was in my box I get someone else' package. I now have to go out again after a long day at work and do the postal person's job AGAIN delivering their package and hope & pray that she has mine. Can you PLEASE get this person trained to do his/her job properly, this is U.S. Mail we are talking about, something not to be taken lightly. Thank you sincerely Stoney Ridge resident, Silt, CO.
