I must be a rare unicorn here. I have had nothing but positive experiences with this post office and I've been in this city for over 20 years. In fact, recently, it's been better than usual. In the past, it was simply 'okay' with long lines at Christmas, etc which is expected. The last few times I've been in, the lines moved faster and I had no issues. At my home, the mail is delivered almost daily at the same time, early afternoon, never an issue and I don't live in a "rich neighborhood" so don't assume the neighborhood has anything to do with it. At the post office branch, I find that if I come in with a good attitude and am kind, smile and am friendly with the post office staff, I get the same friendliness in return. I'm not known for my positive reviews. Like most, I'm more inclined to smash out a negative review when I'm annoyed at a company, but seeing so many negative comments here while just reminding myself what time the post office closes today, made me want to share a positive experience. Honestly, I think some folks just expect the worst and come in with that attitude, thus they get what they come in with. Come in with no expectations whatsoever (good or bad), and just be friendly with the staff, smile and see if your experience improves. It works for me, maybe it will work for you.

One of the slowest and outdated systems west of the Mississippi. The location blows, service is beyond unacceptable slow rude personnel and the building is dirty inside and needs to be updated. Longmont needs a new post office with a different location. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Prior to traveling to Arizona for 6 weeks, I registered and paid for approximately 5 weeks of Priorty Forwarding of my mail. The first few day's mail arrived in a large envelop pretty much as scheduled. The second shipment has not arrived and is 5-6 days late. Mail that is supposed to being held and shipped is addressed to 8014 Fox Hill Drive in Longmont, 80504. (Claude, C.L.,Cork, or Nancy Rowley). The forwarding address is Claude Rowley, 7955 Chaparral, Unit #74, Scottsdale, AZ, 85250. I would appreciate someone checking to see if I can expect shipments from this time-forward as paid for. Please respond to my email address. C. L. Rowley

I have have made far too many attempts to reach this office by phone for the past 2 months - yes, months! I have been in contact with the USPS Accounting office to get an alternate reach number - this Longmont office won't answer that either. Unacceptable by any standards. My next call is to my congressman. I've had it.

I have a complaint about a letter carrier his name is Hal I live at 121 Forsyth drive. my brother who was living with me passed away and when some mail from medical facilities came to me I marked deceased on them to have them returned to the facility. Hal has taken it upon himself to noty deliver anything to me with my brothers name on it. I want to be able to do with any mail that comes with his name on it to be delivered to me how can I accomplish this I have talked to Hal and his response is "well you said he was deceased..

I received a form on my screen door stating an attempt to deliver a letter requiring a signature stating I missed delivery at 9am 5/30/21 which was crossed out with the same pen then under that was written /1/20 9am and first attempt was checked. Whomever put this notice on my door DID NOT attempt anything. I have two large very vocal dogs in my home that can awaken me if someone even lightly taps on my front door and go crazy barking if the doorbell rings. As I am a senior citizen AND hearing impaired, these dogs aid me to announce visitors on my property. Your delivery person must have quietly placed the notice and immediately left without even trying to contact me. The wording of the form made me get up before eight o’clock every morning since to have my front door open waiting for the letter to be redelivered. I even wrote on the form that they needed to allow me time to get to the door with my walker. In the past year I have like all vulnerable people dealt with Covid and in my case with cancer and chemotherapy. To get such a notice but not who it is from or more particulars is really very poor management by your postal service. The person who did NOT deliver tome was a paid employee NOT doing their job. …item #5293-0618-8789-8787

Buildings F-J cannot access our mail boxes since 4/14/21 at the kiosk due to “the lock being compromised” pursuant to a memo from the leasing office. We’ve been instructed that we have to go pick up our mail being held at the post office. How is this my responsibility to go pick up our mail that is supposed to be delivered? I’m a senior with no way to get there and I’m not about to pay for transportation for US mail that should be delivered. I called the leasing office and the person who answered knew nothing about this issue.

I got a package delivered to my mail box today. I live in an apt. My mailbox is about 6"x6"...the postal worker shoved this package into this small space and there wasn't even room to get my fingers in there to pull out the package! There wasn't even room for me to get a key along side it to try to pry the pkg out anyway I had to get a box cutter and cut pieces of the cardboard out a bit at a time! Why on Gods green earth would the postal worker do that? That person should have brought that package to my apt! Totally rediculous! Im really pissed that yhis person was so lazy!!!

My sister was home when both were claimed to be delivered, but she didn’t receive either of them. Tried calling the post office SIX times and it just keeps ringing. The postal service in Longmont is awful! I am so tired of getting other people's mail misdelivered to my address, and wondering how often my own mail gets misdelivered to others. Admittedly I only know for certain of one time they lost my own mail, but there's been at least a dozen times I've gotten the wrong mail delivered to me in the last year or so. Of course, I can understand the occasional mistake, and I always just write "misdelivered" on it and leave it in the mailbox when it happens, but come on, once a month is WAY TOO OFTEN! It's never been even close to this bad anywhere else I've lived.

Mail delivery has been spotty at best for the past year or so - late, not delivered, lost items, delivered late at night or various times of the day. I have now received mail only one out of the past 3 days. On the day we did get mail the carrier did not pick up the postage paid letter to be mailed and we got our neighbor's mail which we then had to deliver. This morning a package I have been expecting was marked "out for delivery" on the tracking provided by the vendor. Again, no mail showed and by 8pm I rechecked and the notification stated "unable to access delivery site". NO snow, no cars, no trash cans were in the way at any point. I happened to be home all day and NO carrier truck was ever in my neighborhood. Amazon - yes, Fed Ex - yes, UPS - always. no USPS. The system is broken.

Our mail delivery has been going down hill for a couple of years now, when it snows we don’t get our mail for two days. Every other kind of vehicle including trash and amazon truck make their way, but not our mail truck! Often delivered after dark, as late as 9:00 pm. I was getting neighbors mail as often as once a week until I personally talked to our driver about this problem. I’ve tried calling to report the no mail for two days and you can not get through to this Longmont office. I think a change in supervisors and employees is long overdue. You should be ashamed of the way you perform!

I recently send a grocery gift card to a family that has been significantly impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak. The mother has not been able to work for almost two months and she is the sole income earner. I placed the gift card in another card, so it wasn't obvious that I was sending her a gift card. I sent it more than two weeks ago. I mentioned this to the family yesterday. They told me they hadn't received the card. They then told me that they have had issues with their postman and suspect that this person has not always delivered their mail to them. This has also been a problem with other families in their apartment complex. The family told me that they and others in their complex have reached out to the Longmont Post Office but have never received a response. Wow. Potentially, a USPS employee is either not delivering the mail or is stealing the mail and there is no response? USPS employees are paid by the people of this country and should be accountable to the people of this country. Why has there been no response? In this case, a struggling family has been denied some respite in this very difficult time. I would appreciate a response to this email.

I put two letters in my mail box today and put the flag up. The mail delivery came a little after 6:00pm this evening. I received mail but my two letters were not pick up! They were still in the box with the new mail on top and the flag was still up on the box. This is totally unacceptable for the USPS. In am alarmed by the lack of concern on the part of the mail carrier. Years back, this would not have happened because people respected the US Mail, and the job of handling it. Do I have to take my mail to the PO now if I want to make sure that it goes out? Postage prices rise every year and why? We are getting much poorer service now than is years past.

I’ve lived in Longmont for 60 years. The old Post office had three windows open for customers. The population was 16,000. The new post office has six windows. The population of Longmont is now close to 100,000. The majority of the time only three windows are used. There is always a line! It’s the only business in town you always have to stand in line to get served. Even home delivery is delivered past dark, in the winter! Some times after 9:00P.M!

I DO NO KNOW what the H**L is going on with this post office! I've lived here for 13 years and worked at my store for the last 7 years. The major issue- if I have my mail delivered by the USPS it goes to a different home address than what I have and for some reason- I keep getting told THAT MY WORK ADDRESS DOES NOT EXIST!!??!!! Last week, NOT ONE, BUT TWO packages that I decided to take a chance to have the USPS deliver were sent from OR to IL to Denver- then shipped to AZ then back to Denver after I called and complained. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! I will be having my mail (as much as possible) handled by FEDEX from now on! It will be worth it to actually receive my mail on time and at the correct address from now on. Get your act together or give up already!

I would like an explanation as to what is going on at this postoffice. Last week my mail was found in one of my neighbors, about 4-5 houses south of me, in her yard. She saw papers laying in the front yard but did not go pick them up a she thought they were trash that had blown in, a couple of days they were still there so she went to pick them up and realized they were letters addressed to me. One of those letters was my car license sticker for 2020. That could have been quite a problem for me had she not gone out and picked it up. This would have been on Fri or Sat. August 29 or 30. Needless to say her sprinklers that she runs during the night made my mail wet. We never have the same delivery person and haven't for quite a while. I get mail addressed to people who live one block east and west of me with the same number but different street. Several of my neighbors receive mail that don't belong to them also. I know it is nice to get to know your neighbors but this is getting ridiculous. Just a couple of months ago two of my checks were lost in the mail, called and talk to someone, but never received an answer as to what happens to these checks when they are never delivered. For some reason the bills never get lost in the mail.

Now I find out it has made it's way back to Denver, I hope it is not return to sender. I went in to this office to buy some stamps. Be warned, the parking lot spots small and this parking lot is frequently full. If someone has a large vehicle, safety dictates they must park on the street. It was snowy and I was close to one side of the parking spot. when I came back someone put their enormous truck next to my car in the tiny spot. I tried to get in the spot and touched my door to the truck and got an earful from the owner of the truck. It was impossible to see around this enormous vehicle. If you have a large vehicle there is just not enough room in that tiny parking space. Please park on the street.

Screwed up real bad since Monday, Nov 5. Expecting a box Monday, signature required. Left 2 other boxes on front porch, left unfilled notice on door. Carrier must NOT know what a doorbell is, or how to use it. Went to pick up box that day. Said it had to be delivered that day! Never showed. Went to pick up Tuesday, Nov 6. Got box, discovered it was NOT mine, after I got home. Went back, again, and ended up WAITING for 45 minutes, only to be told box was STILL on truck! And still MORE waiting, for someone to meet me at the house, to get me my now delayed box! Even have one listed as delivered, but was NOT there, when I checked! NOT good service etc....

Have a package due Sept 29, now 3 days late. Still stuck in Denver. When I stopped to ask where it was, the incompetent person at the desk looked it up. Could NOT give me anything I didn’t already know! Could tell me when, or if it was gonna leave Denver. Said it better be delivered Friday. Have another package promised tomorrow, Oct 2, that looks like it’s gonna be several days late now, coming from the Littleton, CO area. They jack up prices, and severely downgrade service. Thankfully, I very rarely use USPS. Would NOT recommend Longmont Post Office.

This has never happen with USPS before nor fedex, or ups, they have always left packages at the house not on the edge of the street. It sat there 10 hours, fortunately it was still there when I got home late from work. The driver is taking serious shortcuts that will eventually lead to theft of packages. Rick

Inefficiency deluxe! We are asked to make an appointment to renew a passport, and when you call the local post office telephone number, it rings and rings and then hangs up on you. I then called the main U.S. phone number, waited through various computerized phone steps, and only gained the number of the local post office...vicious cycle. Inefficient and very frustrating. Online does not help--only sends you to links of outside providers who charge significantly for passport renewal. This shouldn't be allowed from a government website. Wonder what would happen if this were my workplace, and we operated this way? Get it together USPS!!!

Typical government union bureaucracy: We live in a gated community and the mailman won't come through our gate to deliver packages. Instead, he leaves us a note to pick up at the post office. I have complained many times to the supervisor about the laziness of our mailman and the excuse is ridiculous. He doesn't have to if he doesn't want to, is what supervisor says. Or even better--somebody might have a dog. So at least once a week, I have to make the 20 minute drive to the post office to wait in line 20 minutes to pick up a package that could have been delivered to my home in 30 seconds. Explain how this makes any sense!
