I live in Rancho Mirage and 2 deliveries which were to be made today Jan 4 which did not happen. 1) from Keurig USPS tracking # 92612909836295571037875736 msg “The post office attempted to deliver your UPS SurePost® package and left a delivery notice with instructions.” We were at home and saw the mailman he did not stop at our house and no notice was left, 2) from Dimensions Furniture # 92612909891379511006012410 msg “Animal interference” our dog was on a leash and I was there and again he never came to my house. We have a new mailman & never had this issue before. May we have our previous mailman back, who was fantastic. Thank you

I want to thank all the staff at the Rancho Mirage Post Office, for all their efficient and helpful service during the last two year period, when our house burnt down and has finally been rebuilt. I utilized the premium mail forwarding service and mail hold service during the time we were displaced and this enabled us to receive our mail in a timely and efficient manner. Thank you!

The Rancho Mirage Post Office could make major improvements in customer service.  Today, one of the female postal workers spoke to me and several other people as if she were training a dog.  "No, I can't serve you at this window - you will have to get back in line."   "Stand there - right over there until I am ready for you."
She responded with an annoyed look when I showed her that I had printed my own postage label on line.  When I asked if the padded envelopes were the ones to use,  she gave me a distainful look and tossed a cardboard envelope in my direction saying, "No, you can only use this.  In the lobby of the post office is a large unit for packages.  It is locked.  There is no information regarding what to do with packages.  The lobby window for envelopes can be used only for envelopes up to 13 ounces.  It doesn't tell anyone what to do with those that are heavier. Postal staff answered in a very acerbic tone when I asked where to leave my envelope.  "Just put it over there."  Where?  On those other packages?  On that stack of boxes? If the US Postal Service is to keep from going broke, the offices must provide better, more courteous customer service.
Customer-focused training may need to be provided for individuals serving the public.  And, if postal workers fail to treat customers with dignity and respect they should be removed from their jobs.
