My husband and I have had a box and have used this post office for many years. It is indispensable! During holiday times many out oft owners use it. It services agricultural areas and residential areas always with a smile and excellent service. It would be a travesty if this was closed. Thank you.

Despite repeated efforts to have ALL mail forwarded, this office continues to drop the ball.

I’m extremely disappointed in the way this post office is run. I have had multiple packages delivered to someone else’s address (I only received those through the kindness of my neighbors). Several packages have just been lost - never to be seen. One of those packages was my passport! I have a child serving in the military who is stationed in a different country. I have sent packages to them using the “flat rate price” box. I usually receive a discount when using the military base address. Even if I don’t, I have never paid more than the price associated with the box size (I’m referring to the boxes that ship anywhere in the USA for a flat rate) - EXCEPT in Bonsall! The last time I tried to send a package, the man behind the counter tried to charge me $10 more than the posted price. I asked him why & he said it was because of the zip code. I pointed out that it was an FPO address (which is considered part of the USA), he told me that didn’t matter. I took the box to the next closest post office & paid slightly less than the flat rate price (I received the military discount). I have placed holds on my mail (when we traveled) & they continued to deliver the mail to our box. To add insult to injury, they placed a “bad customer” notification in our box saying it’s our responsibility to to empty the box!!! We have had more incidents with this one post office than all other post office in my life. In fact, prior to this post office I have never had a problem. If I could afford a PO Box associated with a different branch, I would do so in a heartbeat. Apologies for going on & on, but I was just notified that because of a typo (Td was typed in instead of Rd), Bonsall rejected the package & I’m trying to find out where they sent it because they didn’t say on the “reject” notification AND they won’t answer their phone (not that I expected them to...)

Beware that they close their doors early. Walked up before 430pm and the doors were already locked. SMH! Thats a shame. So much for people that work that need to do business with the post office.
