Ridiculous. Two oversized items from Amazon were shipped via USPS. Mail carrier left a message and on one I spoke to the mail carrier. Both times the items were not delivered and since they were oversized I needed to go to the post office 10 miles away. First occurrence. The item was at the post office. Second time it was lost even though the mail carrier told me she saw it and didn’t have room to put in in her truck. The mail carrier said that they were understaffed and she was recovering from something. At this point the item from the second time has disappeared at the post office. Hope they enjoy my order!!!!

The key provided to open parcel boxes does not work. Locks are not accessible. Can’t get package that was delivered two days ago. Locks need to be fixed,

Not sure what’s going on but we have not received any mail in a week which is not normal. We have been at this address for over 3 yrs and I can count on one hand the times that we didn’t get mail for 1 day. We also see the mail truck a few time a week depending on who’s delivering. Haven’t seen a mail truck once this week.

On January 21, we received a box in our usps mailbox 6 coffee mugs we ordered on line. The mugs were wrapped carefully with multiple layers of butcher paper and each layer was separated by more crumpled paper. The mugs came from Auburn to our address in Auburn, a very short distance! To our surprise, when we opened the package, 3 of the 6 mugs were shattered and one was damaged, but we kept it. The box was marked FRAGILE, but apparently, it was not treated carefully. The seller refunded us but we would have preferred to have the mugs. I hope no one else goes through something like this with your service.

The flag was up on my mailbox. I waved at the mail-person as they drove past, skipping my stop. What is wrong with the mail service now-a-days? Last year the USPS tracking told me my delivery on out on the truck. The mail-person skipped my stop and I had to chase the truck down and ask for my package. What is wrong with you people?

Abandi I asked him if I needed to have my box wrapped with “priority” wrap or tape before I tape my printed out label. He kept on telling me to tape the label without answering my question. On top of that, am deaf and he’s wearing a mask. What the hell - how the **** he think I can uddy. Of course am not stupid - I have to tape the label. My question was about the tape/wrap like it used to be in the past. Fk him. I rare complain. Be more patient, listen/understand what I am asking for and then reply in a proper way! Write it down or so.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone in this post office for about 3 weeks. No one answers the phone during business hours. I sent a package from Napa to my father in Davis, Ca on September 22nd. It still has not arrived. It has been from Napa to San Jose to Sacramento to Auburn to San Francisco 32 different transits. The package number is: 9500106677410266368296 It would be greatly appreciated if you could get this package to my father in Davis, CA.

The whole back side of our neighborhood mailbox was not closed or locked after Mail was delivered today. 12 mailboxes and keys to package boxes open to anyone for the taking.

No one answers the phone at this post office. I have filed a concern with the inspector regarding delays in mail delivery and while the postmaster did call and request a return call, this is not possible, as no one answers. I have received mail where the postmark shows clearly that it took a month to six weeks for the piece to arrive. This has happened more than once. I have also received a card which had been opened. I don't know where the problem lies but the pony express was quicker in delivering the mail. A month's delay should be impossible.

"Comments below are not read by postal employees. Please do not post personal information." So does ANYONE read them? Started vacation hold on 26 Feb 2020, went to pick up mail today. Got 5 pieces (3 were junk). Should have been at least 3 Auburn Journals & a significant amount of other mail. Called 530-885-7943 more than once & it just keeps ringing after it says it's transferring me to the operator. Interesting "Now hiring at $72k+."

Due to the prolific mail theft in my neighborhood, I requested that all packages be delivered 100 ft to my front door. Apparently, this is too much "customer service" for USPS to provide. I just had another package stolen from my mailbox. I really thought USPS provided the locking multi-unit mailboxes, but they don't even do that much. Why are they still in business? I've asked them to partner with the Sheriffs department, but again...too much customer service.

What in the world is going on with staffing at the Bowman PO? I am writing on behalf of many. I have had a PO Box for over 20 years.. no problem just crowded on Nevada store. Decided to switch to the Bowman store because I live close and at times I walk there. Since the switched, my mail has been misplaced, sometimes IMPORTANT papers! Get my magazines subscriptions, WHENEVER... got my AJ yesterday dated 6/26/19 and it’s 7/31! Have had to call my subscribers , they are delivering, but where are they? This has been going on since my change, last October..Needed assistance yesterday, the office was open, but no one around. Today many of us were there, the office was closed, no notice, I was standing there with 2 boxes to mail.. thinking of going thru the hassle (notices etc) and changing back to Nevada Street office..

Vacation Hold Window is supposed to open at 9:30. Workers ignored the line of people waiting to retrieve their mail. Extremely poor service by these government workers!!!

Horrible customer service with regard to passport service at the Auburn CA Post Office and the Citrus Heights Post Office Mega Center. Walked into the Auburn Post Office on Friday after school, 2:45 pm, with our kids to get their passports. You need to bring kids under 16 years of age in person in order to get their passports along with both parents. Postal Clerk tells us "your are too late we are done for the day". Postal Clerk suggests we go to the walk in mega center in Citrus Heights. They are open Saturday and Sunday. You just walk in no appointment needed. We drive from Newcastle to the Citrus Heights Post Office mega center for passports on Sunday with our two kids. We arrive at 10 am. Website and Auburn postal clerk tell us they open at 10:30. The lobby is full at 10 am. We find out they open at 8:30 am cannot get an appointment as they are booked up all day. They have 4 sheets of paper with names on them so they are booked. Why were we told they are walk in no appointment needed. That is not true!!! You must show up hours before they open. Stand in line to sign in and then come back hours later. There is no guarantee that after standing in line for 2-4 hours you will even get an appointment for that day. To make matters worse there is no sign up sheet for the next day. You have to do the process all over again. Show up before they open, wait 2-3 hours and hope you get on the list for that day. Today we go back to the auburn post office at 8:30 am. The passport office opens at 10:30. People are already in line. We come back at 10:30. The line is off the charts. The postal clerk has the nerve to tell folks standing in line "oh by the way you need original copies of your birth certificate" a few folks leave the line. They have the nerve to tell another gentleman who filled out his application in blue ink he needed to use black ink he has to come back. We met folks who had come back 3 or 4 days straight to get an appointment only to be told we are booked for the day. What a farce. No wonder this postal service is going out of business. No customer service, incorrect information, they don't care if you have shown up 3 or 4 days in a row without any service. No common sense. We are now going to the Placer County Clerk Recorder for our passports. We were told they are booked until May. You go on the website to make an appointment. Found one appointment for April for one kid and one for May for the other kid. I guess its better than taking time off work and school to sit for hours and not get a passport appointment at the post office. You are warned. Stay way from the post office. Only makes sense they ruined their mail service. They have now run this service into the ground. Beware, don't go to the Auburn Post Office or the Citrus Heights Post Office mega center for your passport. You will need to take your kids out of school for 3 or 4 days if they need a passport and if you need one you will need to take at least 2-3 days off work to stand in line just to be told they are full for day.

We depend on checks coming through the mail and when you decide to not deliver the mail on any given day it hurts our company. I have talked to the other businesses in our area and they are getting the same shitty service... If you are not going to deliver the mail everyday how about letting us know so we can come down and pick it up... And waiting on hold for over an hour is BULLSHIT!!!

What a waste of time to have to deal with your employee who stops customers progress to getting to the window by making you answer all the same questions you answer at the window! This employee would be more useful at the window actually helping customers! There are four spaces at this PO to help process the mail, however, rarely are they all open to serve customers in this post office!
