What is going on at the main post office in Dothan? No one answers the phone. Is there anyone working at that office. I've been calling for days. The phone rings and rings. 10 minutes i let it ring and no answer.

My postal lady is ruining our mail/packages because she will not bring items to the door when they do not fit in the mailbox. I have pictures of crumpled, bent, and torn letters and packages that were smashed into the mailbox so tightly I could not get them out without tearing them. Chase Ridge Dr

Today is Sunday July 16th and I had a package from Amazon that was supposed to be delivered yesterday and did I not receive the package I didn't even get my mail for the day so that tells me that they didn't deliver any mail on Saturday. The tracking just stated for yesterday that a carrier delay had occurred so this morning it was out for delivery at 7:24am and supposedly it was delivered to my mailbox at 1:57pm but guess what it's not here. So I have to go to the post office on Monday to see who's mailbox my package got delivered because you can't get anybody to answer the telephone to talk with them. I found that if you order anything make sure it doesn't come on the weekend because the post office doesn't have anybody competent enough to get the packages where they need to be delivered to the correct address. This is not the first time we have had a problem so I would say they need to get it fixed.

I have a # of packages to be delivered in the next 2 weeks. The 1st was an attempt on Tues 5/30. Card left, couldn't deliver-dog. There was a dog-no bite just bark, but I understood. Redeliver request filled out for 6/1. No package on 6/1-6/3. Carrier said when asked about package on Sat 6/3, she would NOT redeliver, I had to pick it up. Kinda hard when I'm still recovering from surgeries on both legs & not driving! Strangely the package arrived 6/4? My exercise bike (used to rehab my legs) was to be delivered Mon 6/5. No delivery but attempted (?). There was NO dogs (barking sounds but they were all inside a house), no card, no nothing. Nothing to delay delivery. Going on line the USPS app had out for delivery @ 9:37 am but the attempted delivery was listed @ 9:44 am. That is a physical impossibility!! Even if they went to my location first (which I doubt) & hit all lights green w/no traffic, it's a good 15-20 min+. I'm 73 & only physically slowed @ the moment but I have to depend on others right now & I HATE it!! I live on Chinook St. & the carrier needs to do her job or find a place that she can sit down & collect her $!!

I just watched my mail man on camera throw my package. It’s a sat so it’s not our normal lady. But that is completely uncalled for.

Mail carriers cannot read, don't pay attention, don't care and lie about "attempted" deliveries. Carrier will pull in driveway, backup, pull in front of mailbox, look around while drumming fingers on the steering wheel and drive off all while you are on the porch waving to let them know you are home and will receive the package.

Dothan post office is the worst service I've ever seen in my life, my business is on Main Street and more than half of my mail that I actually do receive has been opened and written "delivered to the wrong address" you really should be closed. you can't even do your job...

I don’t understand why the phone is not being answered. This is extremely unprofessional and rude. I obviously need to talk to someone from this office immediately. Please email me since over the phone communication is impossible at

It has been more than 10 years ago and I knew that it was time to pay my home owners insurance so I called my insurance company and my policy had been canceled because the mail carrier reported that I did not live there. What other things do they report that is not true.

Absolutely ridiculous Dothan!! IF we get mail delivered which we havent in today will be the 3rd day its not until 5 or sometimes 6 pm. I put an important acceptance letter for my son to a school in my mail box raised the flag for pickup. It rained all day. When the mailman finally decided to show and my son went to get the mail he found his acceptance letter laying in fromt of mailbox kn the ground in a mud puddle. Flag was now down, so means the sorry postal worker dropped it after pulling it out of my box put the flag down saying it was collected and just left it in a puddle? What kind of idiots do you hire?? This almost cost my son his place at this school for next year. Thank you the worst excuse for a mail person I’ve ever seen! My address is on Pine Hills Drive, so whoever calls themselves doing this route needs a career change cause they dont have the common sense for this job

Stonewood Drive...It is now 6:35 PM...and NO MAIL.....I put letters out this morning to be picked up so they could go out today. NOT HAPPENING....This is getting real old........How do you think the elderly feel when they have to go out sometimes at 7:30 PM to get their mail and it is dark. There is NO reason for this...This just didn't start with the holiday season...It is on-going.. So now I guess IF I want my mail to be picked up in a timely manner I HAVE TO TAKE IT myself to the Post Office.....This is Pitiful..and getting MEGA OLD.

I use the downtown post office and have had nothing but great service. Packages arrive when said to arrive. Postal clerks are very helpful as I always have a packaging issue and they take the time to help me. Sent valuables and they helped me secure them for shipment and arrived in perfect condition. I can only say this about our downtown postal office as that's the one I use weekly. Again thank you for your great service to me.

Never requested my package to be held. Nothing was left in box so that I knew it had came. If it wasn't for me tracking I would still be looking. Called post office several times with no answer. Phone rung for 7 minutes.

They said they attempted to deliver the package, but they never even came by our house. My family has been outside on the porch watching the rain so they were just being lazy. How about man up and do your job?

My local post office has once again managed to lose something I mailed to a local office that was very important. Gone are the days that you can trust that your documents can and will get to where they need to go via the postal service. No wonder people mainly use the internet.....pathetic.
