Postal Locations

The City of Eek has been receiving numerous calls from Eek Residents, regarding mail. We know the Post Master to be, is in training now, but the Residents here are wondering if an alternate can be sent here JUST to sort out mail.

My package has gone from Montana, Anchorage, Soldotna, Girdwood, Soldotna, and now on route to next destination. I live in Soldotna, it should have been out for delivery on Saturday September 9th but was shipped back to Girdwood for some reason. Now I see it’s on route to next destination and not out for delivery, where is my package and why is it so difficult for the Soldotna office to deliver it??? A similar situation happened to a friend of mine and the only thing he received was the label from his package, NOT the package but just the label. People in the area are always complaining about this office and nothing changes, who do we need to contact to get the management replaced in that office??

Where is my package. I paid extra to have it delivered in 4 days. Now no one has any idea where it is. There is over 2,000 Dollars in valueubales in it. It disapprard between las Vages NV. and Barrow AK.

Your post office has got to be the worst one in America I've been calling for days and days and days can't get through at a package delivered there to Crooked Creek Central had a post office box and went to the wro ng address I need to be contacted is there even a post office box in Alaska. I am very frustrated with USPS right now. I needed to get an envelope to Juneau from Anchorage. I sent it Priority with a 4 day delivery window. This envelope went to Seattle, Colorado Springs, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle again, Kent, WA, then 9 days after dropping it off at the post office it was delivered to Juneau. This mail is better travelled than myself. This is ridiculous and so inefficient. Big Sigh.

Courtesy and always on time. Standing in line very patient with impatient and grumpy people in a hurry. Outstanding customer service. I was worried that if I sent someone to Social Security and I did not send it return receipt requested it may not get to them at the downtown Anchorage office. Silly of me. It was a government prepaid envelope. So, I realized it was not necessary. It got there in one day. But I can't seem to find out whom to call about this? Phone is busy. My mother is invalid and has 24/7 caregivers. The mailbox that was on the curb was no longer to be used for many years now, and I find out that there is mail in it. She is expecting mail from Medicare and it is to be put in the mailbox next to her door not the curb. A new mail person must not be aware of it. I put a big note on the curb mailbox that is not to be used, but there is still mail in there. I took most of it out, but there is some I can't reach. Please ask what to do? I need someone to call me regarding issues 1. Neither AK phone number published will answer calls one has message that mail box is full 2. Online system for usps does not allow copy paste or allow for assistance and therefore violates ADA. 3. Filing for assistance on line does not work and has message as such I expect an email. WHAT ARE MY TAX DOLLARS FUNDING?

I ordered two electric scooters on line and received an email that said they arrived on June 21. They didn’t get here and the regular post office said big packages didn’t go through there. On line is an offer for USPS Tracking PLUS, Extended History, cost $2.10 for 6 months. Today is 3/11/21. The offer expires 3/13/21. I have just filed a request for redelivery. USPS Tracking history "November 22, 2020 In Transit, Arriving Late. Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility.: (Really?) I haven't rec'd my package yet. Do I need to purchase Tracking Plus? If not, will USPS look for and send my package? Can anyone provide the name & contact information for a supervisor over all the Anchorage post offices? On Nov. 28, 2020, we sent a Priority Mail envelope with signature required from Arizona to Anchorage. USPS tracking said it would be delivered on Dec. It was not delivered, even though the recipient was at home all that day waiting for it. The recipient went to the Lake Otis post office THREE TIMES and each time the clerk said they "could not find it." Despite MANY calls, no one answers the phone at the Lake Otis post office. We want to know what happened to our Priority Mail. Is there some sort of supervisor's office for all the Anchorage post offices? Appreciate any help - thank you.

The Kotzebue Post office for the last 8 days and today has been opening at 1PM. I was in line yesterday for 2 1/2 hours. I will be in line again today hope not for 2 1/2 hours. Just wondering why the post office is not opening at 9AM any more? Thanks grace

I have been trying all week to contact somebody in regards to missing mail. My wife and I both applied for real IDs with Alaska DMV and we received an email on October 3rd saying they would both be arriving soon, but only mine arrived. The post office informed my wife that she would have to apply for a duplicate license and pay again, but we received a picture of it in our informed delivery digest. Somewhere between the USPS sending us a picture of the mail and delivery the ID was lost. We want to know what the process is to correct this but cannot get anyone on the phone. This is terrible, we need it travel shortly. If anything, the USPS should pay for the duplicate since the ID was never in our procession. This is why the people do not trust the USPS with sensitive materials or election ballots. I still receive mail from previous occupants and our mail gets lost, glad it was not a ballot. This is why companies like Amazon are so successful, because they are able to do the job of the USPS my getting blue vans and slapping a sticker on the side of it. I hope that I able to generate a response to my email since I am getting nowhere on this whole issue.

How do we request additional help for the USPS in Barrow, AK? They are working hard but understaffed!

I ONLY have issues with USPS. Fedex gets it right. But USPS loses packages, refuses to deliver EVEN WHEN IM HOME, and their contact numbers are useless.

We need postal worker help in the Glennallen, Copper Center area. Our workers are currently understaffed with no end in sight. We finally have outstanding hard working USPS workers at both of these locations. PLEASE provide them the support they so desperately need.

Flags at two Post Office's that we saw today were at full Staff---WRONG--- it seems that a LOT of the post office worker's have a primary english problem and not being from around here lack knowledge of the Pledge of Alligence ....If the USPS has the time to set up a driving school at the airport, how about ingraining some respect for the AMERICAN FLAG.....Lake Otis (( 99507 )) and Strawberry Road BOTH GOT IT WRONG. The Airport Station has burnt out lights ((( still ))) and has displayed MY Flag at half mast for about a week and a half.. Our post office in Stebbins, Alaska have not been open for business in days. We the people of Stebbins are getting frustrated by our post office not being open to check mail or do business. Is it possible to order something from mainland USA to the post office as i will only travel trough the city?

Ok, we have a problem. Today I found a box delivered on our door step, in a stream of water from the gutters. There was knock on the door. My wife was home all day and, if nothing else, the dog would have heard the knock. Two weeks previous a box was stuffed half way into the mailbox. The box door was left open and all contents in the mailbox were wet. Now I understand that postal workers are very busy, but a little curtesy, professionalism, and dry mail would be greatly applauded.

My mail is missing from my mail box. I have called all numbers available, but nobody answers or the voice mail box is full. The USPS is a very broken system. I wish Fed Ex would take over.
