This is the worst excuse for service I have ever seen. I have found the people in the office to be rude and unhelpful. I sometimes get my mail and sometimes do not. Lately they have been refusing to deliver packages sent via USPS and have instead been giving me notes to "come to the office and pick these up." When I try to contact the post office the phone is never answered. When I went there they could not find the package! If I have to go to the post office I drive to Burnsville where I am treated well and the people are helpful. The postmaster and his drivers in Lakeville need to be replaced with people who can and will do their jobs in a professional manner. AVOID THIS POST OFFICE IF YOU CAN!

The lakeville post office is poorly managed. I have had numerous packages over the last year show "out for delivery" I go to track the package a couple hours later and it say "no access to delivery location" This is BS as they never attempted the delivery and my street, mailbox, and driveway were clear. This happens In the summer or winter. Reason? They only deliver to my address once or twice a week at best. They say it is because of lack of delivery personnel. Well don't lie and say no access to location. I don't see these issues with ups, FedEx, and delivery not amazon. How can these companies keep drivers and you can't? Poor management !!!

Wondering why we don’t get mail service every day. Mail did not get picked up or delivered last Tuesday, Saturday mail came on Sunday, and no pick up or mail delivery on Monday (today 06/27). Completely unacceptable.

I don't have anything to add to the comments below except to agree with them. What is being done to make this post office user friendly and adjust the employee's attitude towards the customers?

The worst service and delivery issues from any post office I've ever experienced. Items get stolen, items get delivered to the wrong address. Lakeville USPS is a joke! I will NEVER utilize them if there is another option available. I'm not just mad, I'm done!

I have had NOTHING but trouble with this post office. Our carrier jams packages into full mailboxes. We have had accurately addressed packages returned to sender for no reason. I just got off the phone with them and they said they have no idea what is going on with that, and me getting upset about it "will make that worse" as though complaining is met with retribution. Please feel free to contact me, as I would like a resolution.

Sent 3 Priority Mail packages to my children within a few miles of each other on the same day. 2 received them, 1 did not. Tracking states “in transit”. Not receiving any help from this post office. They should have received the package days ago. Terrible customer service!

This post office (or more likely the carrier) is inept. I had a very large personal check I sent through them with signature and tracking paid for. They lost the check for 3 days which forced me to cancel the check and then wire the money all of which caused me $50 and a lot of time and effort as the check was needed to authorize a time critical delivery. The local business I was sending the check to said this is not unusual in their experience. You need to do something about this as there are many other options today for us consumers. I will never use the USPS again if there are any, and I mean any, available options.

I think the delivery guy has missed our house. No pickup at all 10/14/19. Important as I had my property tax ready to go; put in at 9 am, flag up, nothing picked up that day. Put my tax in the box at the Apple Valley PO myself. Nothing delivered today as of 3.30 pm.

They didn’t deliver the mail and said that they could not get to the front door. There was only a light dusting of snow as in any other winter day in MN! Photos that I have prove that the driver simply didn’t want to walk up to the door as there was NO SNOW blocking the door. They won’t answer their phone and I have tried to get my deliveries for more than two weeks. What I’m the world is wrong with this post office?!

When a Complaint was submitted for mail not being delivered I was told that there was snow in front of the box. This was disputed and the extremely rude woman said she was going to ride by and if there was any snow we would not receive mail until spring. After contacting the next higher office we got our mail the next day. Then she called back Saturday morning at 7:30am, “I got your complaint! Sorry did I wake you?” Laughing a little. This woman needs to be fired!

I called twice and the phone rang for over a minute each time before my call was disconnected. The third time I called, I started to explain my need when the employee interrupted me, talked over me, and spoke down to me like I was stupid. Typical government-run agency -- a joke!

I put my mail on hold this weekend because we were out of town, there was a winter storm and I had liquid medical supplies arriving that I didn’t want to sit out in the cold neighborhood cluster box. A total of five packages were delivered during that hold. I went to the Lakeville post office and the “gentleman” at the counter told me they have no control over subs working on the weekend. I told him I had a liquid that froze because it was delivered even though I had a hold in place. He went behind the wall and returned telling me our regular carrier, Cindy, had been on this weekend and decided the packages would be safe in the locked parcel box and I hadn’t notified them that anything could freeze. I asked why anything was delivered because my mail was on hold. He told me he wasn’t going to argue with me...apparently asking for a reason for mail delivery during a hold is considered arguing...and said he would call for a supervisor. He didn’t move from his spot and called the next person in line. I asked if he had called for a supervisor and was told he pushed the button but the supervisor usually doesn’t come. I waited for someone to speak with me but it was apparent that I would be waiting for a very long time. Since returning home I’ve tried multiple times to call the post office, but as others have stated, it’s constantly busy. I’ve double checked the definition for Mail On Hold and it says nothing will be delivered. I can’t find the stipulation that the mail carrier can deliver things if they decide it’s “safe” in the locked box.

Called post office today Sat. Calling in a complaint that person delivering mail to our neighborhood lockbox again had other people's mail in our lock box complained multiple times in the past to the Supervisor at Lakeville. Horrible customer service today very rude when explaining issue to a lady Supervisor. Always interrupting me on phone said she had to end call because I was unhappy again with the mail service. Had to call Burnsville USPS Supervisor to file a complaint because female Supervisor at Lakeville was unprofessional and never solved the delivering issues with carriers putting wrong mail in lock boxes so so frustrating. Lakeville Post Office needs a serious change quickly. Very unhappy Lakevill Resident!

Apparently things haven't changed much in the last month since the last review said the phone is ALWAYS busy. Spent the entire day attempting to make contact with anyone, no luck. Oh yah, and apparently they are attempting to forward my mail, wonder where I'm moving to? Hope it's sunny and warm ;-p

When's the last time you made a phone call and got a busy signal? Do you even remember what it sounds like? If not, call: 952.469.1463. It's busy all the time, and you can never get through. Do they leave their phone off the hook? Remember the good old days when you could do that?

Since moving to Lakeville from Bloomington 6 weeks ago I'e noticed the local post office simply refuses to deliver packages on Sunday. Amazon guarantees Sunday delivery and each week the tracking invents a new excuse. Today was sunny and in the 70's tracking said delayed due to weather or natural disaster. Last week the delivery to my residence was declined because the business wasn't open. The previous week it was couldn't access front door. This never happened in Bloomington.

We sent out a package on March 18, 2017 and it appears that the item was ripped off by a staff member at the local Lakeville USPS. Extremely disappointed and I will now be going out of my way to send me packages through a different location.

Worst mail service in MN. We constantly get our mail delivered random addresses since moving to Lakeville 4 years ago. My amazon usps deliveries also go to random addresses. I've had 2 credit card declines because my statements were returned to sender for being DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!!!! I've complained to the post master and "Vicky's" excuse was that they had a sub. They must have a sub every single week because that's how often my mail gets delivered to the wrong address. There would be days when I don't get any mail at all, then on the 4th day, I get a week's worth of mail.

Our mail person is constantly delivering mail for someone else at our address. Our address is 17476 Goodland Path, and we get mail for 17476 Grove Ave. I have talked to the party on Grove and they've gotten our mail in the past too. I can understand a envelope getting stuck in between, but just last week there was a box delivered to us instead of the Grove address. This is becoming a much more frequent problem. I got a magazine AGAIN today for the people on Grove Ave. I wonder where all MY mail is ending up!!!!!

Our postal delivery person has broken our mail box and each of our neighbors (4) in the past year. He continues to slam open and slam close our mail box covers. I can hear him from in our house coming down the street slamming mail boxes, as he comes to deliver the mail. Saturday he was too lazy to get our of his vehicle to deliver a package to our door, instead he proceeded to jam the package in the mailbox that is not supposed to fit. This has happened several times.

I had two packages from Zulily to be delivered as part of my husband's valentine's day gift and they said they were delivered on the 10th of Feb. No packages, looking closer as UPS forwarded the packages to USPS the tracking numbers delivered my packages to Dresser, WI where MY husband's ex-wife lives. No word from her on getting something in my name with my address. If she opened it, that is Identity Theft and I will be calling the cops and filing a complaint. Lakeville's post office is the worst! We have dealt with them constantly for 3 years. My husband's new passport was delivered to the wrong address and someone opened it and then it was delivered. Are you kidding me?! Get your crap straight or I'm going to the government and asking for new people all around. I work in the private sector and in way would this kind of service fly.

Woman at lakeville USPS is not friendly. She's in a bad mood and taking out on customer. I've been waiting for my package to be delivery to my house on 6/26/2014. I went online try to track my package and it say won't be out to delivery until 6/28/2014. Finally checked again on 6/28/2014 its show that is in lakeville USPS. So I call to confirm if is going on the truck for delivery. The guy who answer the phone was so hopeful. Tell me the detail like I will need a signature's. After 10 minute I called back and ask to see what is a normal schedule for USPS delivery the mail or package. The woman who picked my last call answer and give me a very bad customer service. Told me to go online to check it my self. This's bad because USPS hired her to answer the dam phone with any customer request. Sounds like she's in a bad mood. My points here is that not only my package is not on time, but the customer service is ass.
