I had the opportunity to interact with Cindy, a delivery staff member, Griffith Post Office, on February 20th, 2024. She was very courteous and efficient in assisting me. She went out of her way to help me find a package which was placed on hold. She even recalled my name without prompting. Great job, Cindy!

They are rude, ignorant, and if I didn't know better, I'd swear they treat people like this on purpose. They do not care. I don't think they care if the place gets shut down.

So we go from over grown bushes and weeds at the Griffith post office on Broad street , to no one can shovel the sidewalks . It’s amazing the decline at this post office . What happen to taking pride in our job . I seen the same decline happen at the Gary post office over years of working in the city , is this where we are headed now ? Take pride in everything you do and get paid for . I will comment about my Mailman and my previous mail lady , love them and they do a great Job .

Customers be Advised: if you used the Griffith Post Office outdoor drop boxes on Oct. 21 thru Oct 23, 2020, your mail most likely is lost or delayed. We put bills in box on Oct. 22, neither of them arrived at Nipsco or our Credit Card Company, now overdue, charged late fees, credit card locked until they receive a payment! Clerk says multiple complaints from customers. Take your mail inside, don’t use drive up boxes!

It is unfortunate to not receive the local values in any of the apartment buildings! Each building 11 apartments which also include the basement apartments!

I recieved my package today from the USPS on my front porch. The box was badly damaged. I took it to the post office in Griffith and asked the clerk about it. She said that they didn't do that to the package.... I didn't argue with her about it or make a big scene. Does the USPS accept a badly damaged original USPS box to be mailed and send it out from the vendor like that to be received by the customer? After all... why would the vendor mail their own product in a badly damaged USPS box only to have the customer receive it like that and then send it back..... I don't think a supplier would stay in business very long like that. The USPS clerk really needs to realize that the USPS is not perfect and can make a mistake or accident before right off the bat saying... we didn't do that.

Having several issues with multiple lost packages in the mail and very little assistance from the Griffith Post Office. Have been reassured twice that I would be contacted with updates regarding my missing packages and twice I had not received any sort of call back; one of these instances was from the manger/post master at this location as well. I feel that there is very little initiative or concern to find my mail and it's been myself mostly hounding the post office to get any sort of help in this matter. very frustrating.

I dropped a letter in the mailbox at the Griffith Post Office on the outside in the big blue mailbox, this is the 2nd time that a letter has been lost after dropping the mail in the mailbox, this time the letter was only going to Merrillville IN for my light bill, on August 5, 2019, this time I have contacted the post office and was told that maybe I missed the box and my letter was dropped on the ground which is not possible if I am making sure that my bills are paid on time. The representative asked me if I have mailed anything else I have found it easier to go to the location and drop my bills off because I can't trust that the post office will deliver. I have had to pay $15 to stop payments then pay late charges because the mail is not reaching its destination,

I called 2 hrs before closing and the phone rang for 5 minutes without anyone answering. I called back and let the phone ring again for 3 minutes still no answer. I was trying to avoid exactly what ended up happening. Which was I end up driving up there to pick up a package and the guy tried telling me it was at the sorting facility by waving his hand in another direction before I could even finish talking. Then I told him “ no it’s in this building sorting was complete and it arrived at the GRIFFITH post office”. He just stood there and said “ yea we got a bunch of packages back there”. And refused to do any actual work including explaining anything or bothering to check for it. I told him I have the tracking number if it would help and he told me “yea it’s probably back there” wtf kind of mess is that?? DO YOUR JOB YOU LAZY JACKASS! From the get go he tried blowing me off and never had any intention of actually doing anything. My brother got a transfer from this place because of the lack of work ethics from the carriers but CLEARLY THE CLERKS HAS THE SAME ISSUES! Lazy lazy lazy LAZY!!!!

Carrier left a could not deliver, Signiture needed, due to no one at home in my mail box, I was at home and saw the carrier never came to my door. When I picked it up I informed the P.O. worker, who promptly informed me of how overworked the carriers are and have to work in all weather conditions. Isn’t that the job they accepted, seems like everyone at the P.O. had the same, not my fault attitude. Could have had the article sent UPS or FedEx, definitely will in the future. Don’t want to add to the workload of these poor souls! Excuse me but, they do get paid to deliver the mail, don’t they?
