Terrible service recently from the Fort Branch Post Office...the mailman mistakenly delivered a package I was waiting for(and had paid nearly $20 for) to the wrong house. So we went to the post office with the tracking number and was told there wasn't anything they could do unless the person who received the package returned it to them. That is terrible service. The man at the counter acted like he didn't even care and barely wanted to deal with me. Well, I am very disappointed to say the least.

USPS THIEVES I have a friend in FORT BRANCH, INDIANA who needed some speaker cable. I just so happen to have some spare speaker cable lying around, so I decided to send it to him of no charge because he's a friend and I'm not doing anything with it. I sent along with the cable some home made bbq sauce ( triple bubble wrapped, and I've sent this bbq sauce to four other states in the same fashion, and it arrived intact.) I KNOW how to pack items for shipping. I also threw in some random items, an electronic parrot (forever poly) a giant rubber fly, and some cat treats, because, well cats like cat treats. He received the package two days ago and someone working at USPS had torn into the package and STOLEN everything but the speaker cable. He sent me the picture of the package with the half ass repair job guess they didn't have any SUPER MARIO DUCT TAPE to fix their screw up. I couldn't believe it. I've had USPS misplace and fail to deliver packages, but this has made me so mad I can't stand it. The thought did occur to me that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE the sauce broke..but I've had items arrive with broken stuff inside (coffee creamer) and the box was clearly stained/wet and STILL unopened. So if the sauce did break, why did they remove every item but the speaker cable?? I got no notice in the delivery confirmation that there was any problem with the package, and it was marked fragile. The sauce was also in the middle of the coiled up cable, and did I mention triple bubble wrapped? So if it had broken, it would have been all over the speaker cable not to mention the box. The other items (poly, rubber fly, bag of cat treats) would have been unaffected by the sauce as they were in bags/boxes and the fly is made out of flipping rubber. I will NEVER ship another item with the FORT BRANCH, INDIANA USPS. They are thieves. Shipping weight when the box left here was 7.6lbs. Arrival weight (near enough) was 5.4lbs. I did not get insurance, I guess that's the only thing that's my fault, other than shipping with the FORT BRANCH, INDIANA USPS. I have not been down to the post office to complain, and more than likely will not. My hands tremble with the rage this is causing me, and until I'm sure who stole from me, I see no need to confront some lowly employee who will give me the standard "We're sorry Sir" bullcrap excuse.
