I live at 220 W Spring St, Bloomfield IN. I want to praise my mailman. Forgive me I can't remember his name due to my brain injury. But he is always pleasant & nice. Greets me with smile & hello and I do appreciate that. Along with always getting me my packages, sometimes heavy, on time....He's a great employee..just want you to know you have a gem.

I personally was very disappointed in the customer service I received at the Bloomfield post office. I visited the post office on a Friday at 1 PM to apply for my passport after gathering all of my documents needed. When I entered the post office, I politely said to the lady, "Hello! I am here to apply for my passport." The lady then replied, "Kid, she just left." Let me remind you, I am a 22 year old woman who just was called a kid and I do not look anything like a kid. The lady proceeded to walk to the backdoor appearing to try to find the woman who just left and then immediately walked back to her computer to begin typing, never making eye contact with me. I then said, "So is no one able to help me?" The lady continued to tell me that there is nothing they can do because there are two women who handle the passport application and one was not there today and the other had left for a lunch break. What struck me as interesting is the fact that the woman's lunch break began at 1 PM and she wouldn't be back. The post office closes at 3 PM meaning that would be a 2 hour lunch break. As a teacher, I get maybe 30 minutes if that. After bantering back and forth with this lady for several minutes, I explained that I am from Greene County but no longer live here so it was important to get my passport taken care of today preferably. She continued to tell me that they can't help me and that I need to go else where such as Bloomington, Sullivan, etc. I then left very heated from the post office. I now have to make another special trip to a different location due to this inconvenience. I am not pleased what-so-ever as to how I was treated. I was courteous and polite during the entire interaction. With that said, I will never be visiting the post office again at Bloomfield. The employees should be more professional and willing to do their job.
